Mathis Seidl

I am an engineering student from Germany completing my Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering & Robotics in Boston.

My first taste of the working world was at Energy Consulting South Bavaria, where I explored renewable energy applications for households and organized client databases in Excel. As I got deeper into my Bachelor's, I wanted to solve real engineering problems. That pull led me to Siemens, where I built a digital twin of a robotic cell and got a firsthand look at just how massive the automation industry really is.

That internship changed my trajectory. I shifted my Mechanical Engineering degree into a Robotics concentration for my final two years and spent the following year building hands-on robotics projects to develop a real feel for these systems. Wanting to push further, I spent the next summer at Amazon, learning how automation and robotics run fulfillment centers at scale, the material flow, the systems behind it, and what it takes to manage a team of technicians.

Now I'm back at Boston University starting my senior year, taking on three advanced robotics courses while building a library noise-monitoring robot as my capstone project.

Outside academics, I stay active through tennis, running, and the gym. I've played tennis competitively since I was 11, run a few times a week to keep my cardio up, and try to get to the gym daily.

Stay a while and explore my projects, where I turn ideas into real-world systems through CAD, simulation-based analysis, and hands-on assembly.
